Click & Say

Listen to the question and answer out loud. The app checks what you say, so this game tests your pronunciation too: if you say ship when you mean sheep, the app will hear ship.

How to do this activityAbout 8 minutes

Goal:Answer questions out loud and let the app check your pronunciation.

  1. Tap Start the game. The first time, your browser asks for permission to use the microphone. Tap Allow.
  2. The question plays by itself. Tap Question to hear it again.
  3. Tap Click & Say and say the answer exactly as it is written. Capital letters and punctuation do not matter.
  4. If you prefer, you can tap the answer instead. Tap Answer to hear the model.
  5. At the end you see your score. Play again to improve it.

Tip:If you mix up two similar sounds, like ship and sheep, the app hears the word you really said. That is useful: it shows you what to practice.

If it does not work:No sound? Check the volume and the silent mode of your phone. No microphone? Tap Allow when the browser asks, or try Chrome.

Tip:Start with Which word? When you get 8 out of 10, move on to Say it.

Consolidation: read and pronounce

Consolida lo que practicaste. Escucha el modelo, toca Dilo y di cada frase en voz alta. La app revisa tu pronunciación y marca cualquier palabra que no escuchó con claridad. Si escucha un homófono, como son en lugar de sun, cuenta como correcto, porque las dos palabras suenan igual.

Practiced: 0/8Correct: 0/8Works best in Chrome or Edge. The browser asks for the microphone the first time.
