    Cultural note

At North American trade shows, conversations are short and friendly. Start with small talk (the show, the trip, the city), then ask open questions about their business. Listen more than you talk.

Always end with a clear next step: a meeting, a call, or a proposal. Would you be open to a 30-minute call next week? Business cards are still common, but many people now scan a QR code on LinkedIn.
